Relaxation

We all want to live happy, fulfilled lives.
However, modern society is filled with distractions and stress that prevent us from doing so.

Relaxation helps you create space in your life for more happiness by helping you declutter your world. My goal is simple – make it easier for you to find focus and be happier in every aspect of your life!
It’s not a secret that we live in an increasingly fast-paced and high-stress society. We often find ourselves feeling overwhelmed, anxious and burnt out. If this is a problem for you, then relaxation techniques could be the key to avoiding these negative outcomes! In our session, we will discuss how relaxation techniques can help your body avoid being in a constant state of physiological arousal and what specific strategies you can use to get on track with less anxiety or burnout!

Introducing the Relaxation Response

The parasympathetic nervous system can help your body to relax in times of stress. It helps regulate things like digestion, heart rate, and breathing. The relaxation response is a natural process that helps us heal, but it’s also helpful for coping with anxiety and depression because when our bodies are relaxed, we don’t feel as much pain or sadness.

There are many different ways you can induce the PNS into relaxing- practising deep breathing exercises, mindfulness techniques like meditation, listening to soothing music…the list goes on! These exercises will help to counteract fight/flight emergencies from happening due to physiological stressors because they promote relaxation.

What will I take away from this session?

Purely and simply learning the art of relaxation, why it’s important, and strategies and tools to enhance the relaxation process. Individual clients may like to include a small hypnotic component to enhance the experience.

This program is designed around using visualisation and other relaxation techniques, along with deep diaphragmatic breathing, all of which positively impact your immune system. This program is slightly different to the stress relief program in that we don’t look at stressors and how to deal with them. If you’re looking to learn relaxing techniques, our stress relief and anxiety program may be more suited to your needs.

  • One session is 2 hours

  • For a once off session it is $200 - You may require more sessions. This can be discussed directly with Kerry.
